"Renewal" - for lllustration Friday

The topic this week is "Renewal".

This is the completed version of the work in progress that I posted yesterday. I usually draw a New Year's Girl on January first. It's a personal tradition that I've grown rather fond of. Given that this is an illustration celebrating the beginning of a new year I figured it was also a nice fit for this week's Illustration Friday topic.

I had lots of fun creating this one. I really enjoyed playing with a new style when drawing the girl. The original pencil drawing for this is about two and a half inches tall in my sketchbook (posted here as well). I scanned it and finished it in Adobe Illustrator.
