Blow the whistle, throw the flag

In the spirit of tomorrow's big game (the Superbowl of course), here's a fun little sketch of a couple referees that I WISH would be on the field. I'll probably finish this up in color in time for the game.

Brown Bag Extravaganza!

Last night I was having a casual dinner with Lauren and her family. We were grubbing on burgers from Steve's Burgers here in Burbank. After the meal I grabbed the brown bag from the burgers before anyone could toss it in the trash. I then grabbed a sharpie and knocked out a fun little sketch of Lauren. Later that night - back at home with a glass of wine - I finished it up with a few other pens and pencils. After that I flipped the bag over and did a fun little sketch of Batman.

This was a blast!

An historic day

Today Barack Obama was inaugurated as our 44th president of the United States.
All day long I have had a singular dominant thought in my mind...
What can I do to personally contribute to a better world?

No matter how you voted in this election, today is a truly historic day and I think that is really something special.

Soldier of Love - Remix!

Here's a remix of my original Soldier of Love.
My goal here was to change her ethnicity by doing nothing more that adjusting the color scheme. I also went more bold with the colors and contrast. The original verion is softer, with more of a pastel feel. This time I tried to make a strong, punchy statement.

I had a lot of fun doing this. I really enjoy doing remixes of my work. It's a blast to take a fresh perspective on something that's already been finished and try to bring more out of it!
